In continuation of the subject of your

letter No. 7603/09 of the 7th. December:

Mr. Percebois loaned for temporary

work to the Government:

I am now in receipt of the Inspector-General's despatch to the

effect that Mr. Parcebois will report to me for special duty

early this month (probably about the 10th.) I am instructed

to introduce him to His Excellency the Governor and to yourself

and to place:his services at your disposal.

I am to request you to issue to this Office

the monthly half-pay and allowances due to Mr. Percebois while

on detached duty, viz.:*

half-pay.

personal allowance.

lodging allowance....*

as per your letter reforred to above.

In conclusion I venture to express the hope

that Mr. Percebois's experience may prove of value to the

Government at whose disposel it affords the Inspector-General
